I have seen this technique done on tons of blogs so finally i took the plunge and made me some paper beads. I love how this set turned out . blue and purple are like my favorite colors right now . so everything i make will probably be either or so beware .
Here are the steps

Triangles cut from a colorful catalog page.
Cut 4 inch by 1 inch (100mm by 20mm) triangles out of magazines or colored paper. Choose colors that you like. " i cut mine 2 inch by 8 and they were still huge" depends on how big u want them .

A bit of glue.Apply a bit of glue to the pointy end of the triangle. A glue stick or a tiny bit of liquid glue will do. I used diamond glaze

Roll around a dowel.Starting at the wide end use a dowel or other slender cylinder (this is a pen refill) to roll the triangle into a cylindrical bead shape. You can make the spiral symmetric with the middle if you try or let it tend to one side. I used a needle

Rolled up.Make sure the narrow end sticks firmly and the bead stays rolled up. Apply another dot of glue if needed.

Slide the bead off.Slide the bead off the end of the dowel.
Brush your beads with a solution of one part clear, white glue to two or three parts water. This step is optional, but it will make your beads last a bit longer and help to smooth out the surface a bit. Let them dry thoroughly, making sure they don't stick to anything while they dry. Try hanging them on a string to dry.

A simple combination with a few beads.Make as many beads as you want. For earrings or a bracelet, you could make only a few beads. For a necklace or other larger project, you'll need more.

Life has just seemed to be so crazy since I started working at Home Depot and the weather is warm. I have been keep busy and haveing tons of fun .

The boys started back to school last week which is realluy weird cuz Weston is now in 1st grade and gone all day . It sure is queit during the day me and Ashlynn chill and have . had a lot of visters hanging with us.

I signed Ashlynn up for preschool . She will go 4 day s a week . then hoepfully i will update my blog more . lol

Let's start at saturday .Me and the kids colored eggs over at mt moms . Aaron came after we were done . He was suppose to get new tatoo but he never showed. Easter was so fun i have a million pictures of Ashlynn she made me take a picture with her and every treat she got . It was great i finally told her to just put it all together for one.

Monday night i went to dinner with my friends from heartland paper. It was the most fun . We went to apple bees ,talked and laughed and had the best time ever. thanks girls for a fun night.

Today we went outside for a minute and Ashlynn spotted the tulips . She had to pick the first one she seem that had a bloom. last but, not least weston has learned to ride his bike without training wheels . This is a big deal . The thing i hate now is he thinks he is big enough to go around the nieghborhood by himself. I don't think so mister.

Well tonight is suppose to get his new tattoo . so hopefully that goes as planned . we shall see.

Today we are going over to mike and Ingars to watch wrestle mania. I don't really want to go but, Aaron wants me to . We haven't watched wrestling forever . (thank god) I'm so ready for spring everytime I think the weather is getting good the next day I wake up to snow. I'm so sick of it.

We finally made our mii's on wii . yesterday they look awesome and the kids think it is the coolest thing in the world. well off to take a shower.

Margaret Martinez 1943 ~ 2009 MAGNA- Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Margaret Aurora Martinez, passed away Feb. 3, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born April 20, 1943 in San Juan, New Mexico to Jose A. and Pauline Garcia Martinez. She married Tommy Lee Martinez in 1959 in Salt Lake City. Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She retired from Granite School District and Merit Medical. She loved camping and spending time at the cabin with family. She enjoyed many crafts including painting and sewing, and especially cooking for everyone. She is survived by her husband; children, Carol (Arnulfo) Sosa, Annette (Salvador) Alvarez, Tammy (Billy) Martinez, and Troy (Sadie) Martinez; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Frances Velasquez, Armando Martinez, Neila (Henry) Padilla, LeRoy (Judy) Martinez, Joe Beto (Carla) Martinez, and Martha (Jeff) Searle; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and other loved ones. I spent saturday over at my mother in laws and this was our project for the day.
I get to be in charge of the next project . Yippie!

very easy to make sizes for the l and v are 4x6 and for o E were 4x4 or so these were not exact squares . I used the opposite attracts font and my George cartridge for my heart . I used the american crafts valentine paper and just layered it up . I used modge podge to glue on the letters. very easy and super cute valentines decoration.

My mom made Ashlynn this awesome hat and scarf . Isn't it the cutest . She said she is going to make one next. Ashlynn is already a scrapbooker check out this page she made . I think it's pretty good for a 4 year old. She loves scrapbooking .

Who has a bigger bum?
Ashlynn or Dawson? This is always the question of the day . Ashlynn thinks she is has the littlest bum of all 3 but, Weston has no bum at all.

Yesterday i finally played with my spellbinders and I am loving the look I am achieving with these baby's i have the circle set on it's way . So the i must work on getting the oval and the square i'm bidding on the heart scallops now . I got hooked up with the basic heart one yesterday as a bonus! ( someone forgot to send my e-bay package so they hooked me up with some good bonuses including this flower stamp on this card.)

Weston lost another tooth on the 21st he is looking so awesome . He is the only kid i know who has lost his bottom teeth before his top and now it is his 2 right side teeth . I hope he looses the other front one so he can have a big lisp.
So one of Aaron's friends from work let us borrow mario cart for the wii. It is so freaking fun. Weston is in love with it .

Ashlynn and Weston have been being so mean to each other . Ashlynn is so mean and scratched up his back . He might be more protected if he would put some freaking cloths on . This kid is going to be a wrestler or something he loves just chillen in his underware . Today is short day for the boys . so I think i'm going to go hang out with my mom this afternoon. here's a little hi to all my friends at heartland paper i miss you so much !!!!! april call me!

So the boys will be back in school in the morning . i'm so excited for them to get out of the house and have some fun! today is a powerpuff marathon on cartoon network so that's what i've been doing today. I love my powerpuff girls. buttercup is the bomb!

Yesterday i was let go from my job . it was very sad but, worked out fine cuz i got to go out.

We went to Aaron company Christmas party . yes i said christmas party It was awesome the had a hypmotist , a magican and they fed us dinner . o and can't forget they gave a ton of prizes away . my fil passed away on tuesday here is his obituary

Ralph L Henderson 1953 ~ 2008 Ralph L Henderson, 55, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son, returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on December 9, 2008. He was born on March 24, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ross Howard and Leah Rayola Lovendahl Henderson. On March 14, 1974 he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Lee Leavitt, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ralph was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed fishing, baseball and spending time with his family; he especially enjoyed being "papa" to all of his grandchildren. Ralph is survived by his eternal companion, Janet; children, Candace (Jim) Hilton, Mark (Amanda) Henderson, Melissa (Gabe) Tau'a, Aaron (Amber) Henderson; grandchildren, Dawson, Weston, Ashlynn, Kiara, Tyler, Kanamu; mother, Leah Henderson; brother, Jeff (Kathy) Henderson; also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Ross Howard Henderson. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake Ridge 3rd LDS Ward, 3151 South 7700 West, Magna. Dawson will probably kill me. but I took this picture of him this morning . Yesterday i also made this cute card and finally finished my give thanks blocks . since thanksgiving is on thursday . these were a hot number over at my work . so i had to pick me up a set . The robot on this card is not a stamp .it's actually a font I downloaded . I have been in love with robots and owls . they are just too freaking cute.
Also to all you girls who went and seen twlight this weekend . i'm so jealous !! Hopefully i will get to go this weekend. but, i did see wallie and kong fu panda . I love wallie i need to re- watch kong fu panda i passed out towards the end.

Nov 23 We celebrated Weston's birthday . We had 2 cakes Weston wanted cheese cake . He actually wanted to eat the whole thing by his self. The funny part is i let him pick it out and he picked plain cheese cake. He got a lot of nice new cloths and some fun toys. thanks everyone .

Nov 22 Aaron gave the boys a haircut . Dawson hates it so he wouldn't let me get a full picture of his head . He looks so differnt with his head shaved . his eyes are so beautiful . I wish i had his lashes.

We decided to give Weston a mohak. It's short now but, i can't wait to see want it looks like when it get's long it totally fits his personality.

Was Weston's 6th birthday. We took him cupcakes to class . His class made him this awesome birthday card/ poster which is hanging in our kitchen window right now. He wanted one thing and one thing only the nerf long shot . It's a monster . Idon't know who like it more him or AAron!

crazy weather, halloween and sick again

This morning we woke up to snow . Ashlynn and Weston thought it was so cool !

They got dressed in coats and boots and went out to play. Ashlynn had to wear two hats cuz it's so cold.
Saturday we had a bbq over at our friends mike and ingars and they had a ton of leaves on the ground do got a bunch of cool pictures of they kids. these were my favorite. They also have a huge old school tree swing . It was fun and probably our last bbq till the spring .

Halloween morning the sky was the coolest color of blue almost purple so i had to use it for an awesome back drop.

Of course me and the kids have a cold . so perfect with the weather change!

First of all i have to telll you all that my friend April is awesome!!! I'm glad I get to work with her every Tuesday . I have so much fun with her and can't wait to get to work. So my kids got there costumes yesterday and they had to try them on as soon as we got home.

Of course ashlynn drew on her face. I was scrapbooking in the other room and when I came back in. That's what her face looked like she even drew on here feet.

today we played candyland . Ashlynn is obsessed with playing board games.

These are my witch letters i altered i had them done last week i really love how they turned out.

I used the my minds eye halloween line and some stickers from k and co from last year.

I have had this stupid cold since last friday . I wish it would just go away.
see this little angel on the top . He is Tate Roberts . My new little sweet heart . I will be watching him mon, wed and thurs . He already has me wrapped around his little finger. I'm glad I get to love him all day and then sleep at night . I love babies but, i love my sleep more.
Weston has been watch code lyoko and he had to borrow my glasses . He said some character in the cartoon wore them . so, he had too! I think he looks pretty cute !

Weston is obsessed with basketball . He wants to play all day . Inside the house and out . Same with Aaron they are so much a like . It makes me crazy ! The weather here has been super nice and The kids outside playing . Arron was playing catch with Dawson yesterday and Dawson was facing the sun wearing Aaron's glasses . I love it ! Ashlynn has to get her pictures in to even if she is just hanging out .
So some thing going on are Dawson strated playing the Viola i havent' got pictures yet i know bad amber but , I'm hoping that he will stick to this . He has already picked up so much just after one class at school and i'm thinking for a christmas gift i can sign him up for some private lessons.
I have been reading the twilight series . yes i got sucked in and now i sucked Dawson into . The sad thing is he is probably on a higher level then me .
Weston has been doing great with school and making tons of friends where ever he goes .
I decided to keep Ashlynn home with me one more year before preschool . She is or course still my baby after all.
I defintaly will be having alot of scrap pages on the way . my ored of ove 600 photos are on my way to my house now . being shippe from snapfish and i took aton more over the last couple of weekends.
My grandpa is home doing great. my family is great . i'm super happy and having tons of fun day to day . not really doing anything special but enjoying my life !

I want to share a 3 of the layouts i made for the swap over at tsr

All of these are for the generic spots . they are all basically the same they might very in color a little bit but not much . i hope everyone likes them .

some other things .

I finally took the boys at got them a library card. I know i'm a slacker . Don't get me wrong i read to my kids and we have a ton of books here but i was waiting until my 2 little ones were big enough to take care of them . Dawson was in book heaven . They also thought it was so cool that you could borrow movies. so i've decided that thursday will be library day.

Saturday

We had a bbq for my dad Birthday . It was last week but, he was out of town for a saftey show .

When he was on his trip he picked me up some awesome toe socks . If you don't know yet . I love socks the crazier the better. We had a lot of fun over there . I'm glad my dad is home. I missed him alot .

Friday

I can't forget this....my Grandpa was put in the hospital. He is o.k. now! He had surgery and had a pace maker put in. So i'm hoping everything goes good and he stays healthy. So any good thoughts and prayers sent this way would be awesome .

I'm a slacker and the boys started school

I've been totally slacking on updating my blog . so here's a little of whats been going on.

Dawson started school last week and today was Weston's firstday of kindergarten. He has been so excited to go . Last tuesday we went in for his review . so he has been ready to go . I hope he is a good boy since he is so hyper. Me and Dawson were talking and were sure the whole class will be his friends by the time he gets home . He makes new friends where ever we go . When we go to the park he always trys to get all the kids phone numbers before he leaves . I'm glad he is not shy but ,sometimes I wish he wouldn't talk to everybody ! I really have to keep my eyes on him . Here a couple weeks ashlynn will be starting preschool and i will actually be home alone for

a couple hours on tuesdays and thursdays which will be really weird and nice!

We have actaully had some really fun weekends we had a bbq at mike and ingars then tycee's birthday then we hung out with roy and celeste last night. We all played the wii and i want one so bad! we played the sports game and it is so cool! We stayed there until 9:00 playing games it was way fun!

This week i only work 2 days again which sucks for a pay check but still o.k. with me . It's going to be a long week anways with getting the kids off to school and picking them up and this and that i'm sure i will keep busy .

I also hope to get some of my swap pages done this week i sure got alot to make but it will definatly be worth it in the end!

So i just picked some totally random pictures from the 4th ! the kids Dawson with his crazy faces he makes ! me and Aaron and our bunny ears ! My mom and sister aka Carla and Dawn!

I swear we had 500 people ove ron the 4th it was so much fun but we are still cleaning up the mess!

I don't think we will be doing any more big bbq's this year ! (unless it's at someone elses house!)

He got alot of new cloths which he totally needed!

Me and Aaron got him a nintedo ds and he has been playing like crazy! His grandparents both got him pokemon movies and he bought himself a pokemon game to play he is in pokemon heaven. I couldn't find a pokemon cake so i got my very favorite spongebob ! I had to add the pic of me and Kristy just cuz i haven't got one of us together in a long time!

My allergies are killing me

I hate this time of the year cuz even if i take pill for my allergies my eyes still feel like they are going to pop out of my head and start bleeding every where ! so to be so graphic but they burn and itch so bad! My poor Dawson has the same problem well !

Any ways the kids have been having so much fun playing in the water when it's time for bed they toally pass out! Weston of course is the one who is loving the water the most ! no fear with this kid ! Yesterday at my moms he was totally pulling out full flips on the trampoline he's crazy and just so full of energy !

Today Weston graduated preschool it was really cute. his teacher made a cd slide show of the whole year and made a copy for each of the parents ! I'm so happy he made it but sad at the same time he's not a little boy no more he's turning into a big boy ! i want him to stay small a little longer! He's losing teeth and now big boy school wow time flys!

Yesterday was Aaron's birthday ! He already picked out all his presents and got them in the mail during the week! so we went to dinner over at Janet's and Ralphs and it was yummy ! so now he is offically 26 years old! Of course he picked out stuff for his truck!!!!!!!

I had an awesome weekend i went to the scrapbook expo on saturday ! which was crazy and fun i left at 9:00 and got back at 1:00. It was fun to get out and check out all the fun stuff out there.
i actaully won my ticket to get in with my awesome atg layout! So it was even better cuz i got in free!
Yesterday me and Aaron went and seen Prom night ! Not too scarey but scared me cuz i'm going to be hre alone for 3 days ! Aaron is out of town for work ! I miss you babe!

Weston finally got to ride a big boy bike and crashed and scrapped up his little nose !

So yesterday was a such a fun day ! the weather was nice and we spent most of the day outside.
I went and scrap booked in the morning . which was so fun ! When i got home Aaron was washing his truck ! Hello why can't he wash my car ! The kids were out there with him enjoying the nice weather. So we hung outside for a while and got a treat from the Icecream man! then we went to kanamu's Birthday party he turned 3 and did the kids have fun! They had the inflatable Scooby doo thing up and they had a blast!

I was mia yesterday working on these. I had to make 9 but they are done ! the theme was either love , Easter, Mother's day and or Father's day I picked love! Man my ric rac looks a lil crooked on this one lol!
I have to say i was also playing guiter hero . I love that game and i thought my ps2 was broken (since AAron punched it!) But ,on suday we put the game in and it worked. YEAH!

Aaron lost his keys this morning

so Aaron woke us all up at the but crack of dawn this morning cuz he lost his keys.
We looked everywhere. finally, an hour later Weston found them in the coach. What a way to start the morning!
Dawson stayed home from school today with a stomach ache and i bet he wishes he went now since Weston is totally driving him insane. He is driving me crazy to!
a good thing Dawson got straight A's! i'm so proud of him .
another good thing i got 2 awesome packages in the mail today ! one from Lan thanks so much i love everything and such a surprize! the second from my secert sister at scrapdango! thank you so much i love it all ! you girls gave me the best mail day ever!

Today is parent teacher conference with Dawson's teacher. I hope he's doing good!
