paper beads

I have seen this technique done on tons of blogs so finally i took the plunge and made me some paper beads. I love how this set turned out . blue and purple are like my favorite colors right now . so everything i make will probably be either or so beware .
Here are the steps



Triangles cut from a colorful catalog page.
Cut 4 inch by 1 inch (100mm by 20mm) triangles out of magazines or colored paper. Choose colors that you like. " i cut mine 2 inch by 8 and they were still huge" depends on how big u want them .

A bit of glue.Apply a bit of glue to the pointy end of the triangle. A glue stick or a tiny bit of liquid glue will do. I used diamond glaze

Roll around a dowel.Starting at the wide end use a dowel or other slender cylinder (this is a pen refill) to roll the triangle into a cylindrical bead shape. You can make the spiral symmetric with the middle if you try or let it tend to one side. I used a needle

Rolled up.Make sure the narrow end sticks firmly and the bead stays rolled up. Apply another dot of glue if needed.

Slide the bead off.Slide the bead off the end of the dowel.
Brush your beads with a solution of one part clear, white glue to two or three parts water. This step is optional, but it will make your beads last a bit longer and help to smooth out the surface a bit. Let them dry thoroughly, making sure they don't stick to anything while they dry. Try hanging them on a string to dry.

A simple combination with a few beads.Make as many beads as you want. For earrings or a bracelet, you could make only a few beads. For a necklace or other larger project, you'll need more.

it's sunday

Yesterday i finally went and seen Harry potter and the half blood prince. I must say it was really good . forever long but, really good . God i can't believe how big they all are they aren't cute little kids anymore they are big teenagers falling in love. Gross!!!!!

scrapping time

I have been scrapping i'm so proud of my self ! I have 720 pictures on their way here. should be here today or tommorrow . So hopefully i will be scrapping alot more .

I am alive and i got a tattoo

Life has just seemed to be so crazy since I started working at Home Depot and the weather is warm. I have been keep busy and haveing tons of fun .

The boys started back to school last week which is realluy weird cuz Weston is now in 1st grade and gone all day . It sure is queit during the day me and Ashlynn chill and have . had a lot of visters hanging with us.

I signed Ashlynn up for preschool . She will go 4 day s a week . then hoepfully i will update my blog more . lol

behind a bit

Let's start at saturday .Me and the kids colored eggs over at mt moms . Aaron came after we were done . He was suppose to get new tatoo but he never showed. Easter was so fun i have a million pictures of Ashlynn she made me take a picture with her and every treat she got . It was great i finally told her to just put it all together for one.

Monday night i went to dinner with my friends from heartland paper. It was the most fun . We went to apple bees ,talked and laughed and had the best time ever. thanks girls for a fun night.

Today we went outside for a minute and Ashlynn spotted the tulips . She had to pick the first one she seem that had a bloom. last but, not least weston has learned to ride his bike without training wheels . This is a big deal . The thing i hate now is he thinks he is big enough to go around the nieghborhood by himself. I don't think so mister.

Well tonight is suppose to get his new tattoo . so hopefully that goes as planned . we shall see.

good weekend everybody

Today we are going over to mike and Ingars to watch wrestle mania. I don't really want to go but, Aaron wants me to . We haven't watched wrestling forever . (thank god) I'm so ready for spring everytime I think the weather is getting good the next day I wake up to snow. I'm so sick of it.

We finally made our mii's on wii . yesterday they look awesome and the kids think it is the coolest thing in the world. well off to take a shower.

Back to work means

I'm behind on all my house work. I'm super tired . I need to scrap, I need to blog and i need a million dollars . even if I had a million dollars I would spend it on paper. now that is sad. Here is a cute 2 pager you can use the circle sfor pictures or just paper lots of fun!

being sick sucks

My whole family has been sick .Dawson the lucky duck is the only one so far who hasn't had the stomach bug. so this week has been horrible . I just hope Dawson doesn't get it .

Weston's famous outfit boots with his shorts, so styling ! As i promised a pic of baby Tate not sitting or crawling but, standing up ! I can't believe how fast this little guy is growing.My mother in law got these awesome glasses and had each of the family take a pic here is our family and i love this one of weston alone. What i love most about this picture is how the kids have juice mustaches . Last but, not least Ahlynn shopping at the the fitness center . I have opened an etsy shop please check it out . I will be adding more stuff this afternoon.
